Change Has Become Normal
Every day something else has changed.  Here in Jackson and the state of Tennessee we are under a “must stay at home” order.  We are to only go to essential businesses and take care of essential things.  Family visits are permitted by restricted by the number of people.  So I would expect more change to come.  Let’s pray for a change for the better!  This does not feel like the week before Easter.  I would like to have a short communion service with everyone on Facebook Live Wednesday night at 6:30 pm.  We will focus our Bible Study on the Last Supper of Jesus.  Get some bread and grape juice if you are able and let’s celebrate the feast together.
PLEASE if you need assistance in any way let your church family know.  We are available for rides or for errands or the meeting of any ministry need.  The “church” is not a building, WE are the church!  We are the body of Christ, the family of God.  Let’s support one another, serve one another, pray for one another, encourage one another.  Church: 784-4949/Pastor 616-7998/Linda 616-6126
We are going to go live on Facebook “CrossRoads Assembly of God” Sunday at 10:00 am.  We are attempting to continue our regular schedule and “look”.  Wednesday nights Pastor Joel will continue with the New Testament Survey course.  This week we will introduce the book of James and perhaps Galatians.  You can also watch the videos on Youtube.  The sermon player on this site will open the video or you can go directly to CRAG Teaching Fellowship on Youtube.com
New Things
This newsletter is a new thing!!  We have also added a calendar on the web site in order to remind you of the devotional scripture of the day and any upcoming events.  We have a PRAYER WALL on this page under the Sermon listing where you can make a prayer request, or offer a prayer for others.  You may offer a prayer and allow others to agree in prayer with you.  You may post a request that everyone can see and again when someone clicks on the “praying hands” it is an indication of their prayers for the request.
You may also make a request anonymously or just submit your name for prayer.  Try it out!  It’s a great way to stay connected.
We are working on an APP for your phone that will be a smaller version of the web site and something that you can check on a regular basis.  This will take some time, but not as long as you might think, so just be ready for the news.
There are many ways to give to the church.  You may drop the offering by the church any morning Monday to  Thursday, 9-12 am.
You may mail your offering to the church at CrossRoads A/G, PO Box 12344, Jackson Tn 38308.
You may give here on the web.  The giving link is the last link listed.  This will take you to the Engage giving site.  If you are already a user of Engage then you just continue as usual.  If you are new to Engage then you either have to create a new account or give as a visitor.   Creating a new account allows you to receive credit for your giving at the end of the year.  In order to create an account the church must have your email address on file, then as you create your account the sign-on and password and add your credit care or bank information.
No matter how you give—God bless you for giving during these difficult times!!

We exist to make Jesus known.

We envision that the love of God will lift us into his presence through worship and His Word. We expect God to redeem, restore and renew the lives of people, their relationships, and their marriages as we worship and give ourselves to the study of the Word of God.

We envision that the love of God will create a biblical community of faith who will accept one another and are accepted, love others and are loved.  We are called to be disciples who learn, serve and encourage one another in the faith.

We envision sharing the love of God with unchurched friends and neighbors in this region through caring acts of kindness and the proclamation of God’s Word.  Whenever possible we will engage in world missions by supporting A/G missionaries or by participating in a School of Christ leadership training world wide.
We envision that the love of God calls us to be passionate followers of Jesus christ who will develop into able servants through the ministry of his Word and the empowering of the Holy Spirit.  We are the body of Christ, the temple of his Holy Spirit.  A river of living water flows out of his church and into the world.

“Anyone who is thirsty may come to Me!
Anyone who believes in my may come and drink!
For the Scriptures declare’Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.'”

John 7:37a-38

Where Your Road Meets His Cross

We ‘re glad that you have stopped by to learn what we’re all about. We hope you see our passion for Jesus and His gospel. He is the only reason that we do what we do — preaching, children’s ministry, outreach, and definitely our worship.

If you were to ask us to describe ourselves in one sentence, we would say, “We exist to make Jesus known.”

This mission causes us to live all of life for the glory of Jesus. We are a church focused on the teaching and preaching of the Bible which we consider the Word of God. The message of the Bible touches all of life, and it shapes the very way in which we live life together with our family, friends, city, and the rest of the world. We want to view and live all of life through the Word of God, which is the truth for all of us.

Living By Faith Galatians 2:20

How To Have a Relationship with God

Prayer Wall
We believe that “Anything is possible if a person believes!”  God is a good and gracious Father who loves us and who is already working in our lives.   However He does instruct us to “Ask” or “Seek” and to “Knock”; this is the practice of prayer.  Right now there are people committed to praying for the needs of the family of God every day.  We have asked for at least two people every day to be agreement that God will work miracles in our lives.
]The School of Christ International is sponsoring two days of prayer and fasting, Friday and Saturday, March 27 & 28, 2020.  There will be a great number of people join together for the healing of the nation, both physically and spiritually.
Also Pastor Joel and Andrey Sekhin are fasting this week.  Andrey is speaking every day in Minsk, Belarus and seeing amazing results.  Let’s pray that God will give him strength and a powerful anointing to minister to the spiritual and physical needs in that region of the world.
If you have a prayer request you can submit it below on our prayer wall.

Lord, open my sons eyes to the times, that he may desire your will be done in his life, that faith be renewed and he would be ready to stand before you. You created him and he is yours- rescue him from the land of the enemy in Jesus name. And thank you for the pastors-encourage their hearts and ignite their faith. Thank you for the wide reaching body of Christ!

Pastor Joel, March 27, 2020 - 7:43 pm

Lord help us to walk by faith in Christ, the Son of God who loves us and gave himself for us. Don't let fear overwhelm us. Let our faith be strong in You!

Joe & Cynthia Vogt, March 25, 2020 - 5:56 pm

We are prayerfully considering moving to Jackson to b near church, Doctors, good grocery stores, etc. We do not want to jump ahead or fall behind God's will. We realize prayer for our world should be uppermost in our focus. Thx for prayer for wisdom.

May the LORD God of Heaven be praised for his grace and peace given to us in this time of crisis. We come before you with repentance and ask for your help in our time of need. Be with this nation, this world which is suffering under the heavy burden of sickness. God is with Us!

Where can God use your talents?

CrossRoads believes that God’s presence brings transformation and change to the heart of believers.  Worship involves the music, the offerings and the preaching of the Word.  A team is needed to prepare the way for the Lord to work.  Come and be a part of the team.

Every Wednesday night CrossRoads send its “big Blue Bus” to pick up neighborhood kids for our kids ministries.  Our desire is to love these kids into the kingdom of God.  Jesus loved children, so we love children.  It takes a lot of work, but it is a labor of love.

Sunday offers two opportunities to love children.  First is  School of the Bible at 9:00 am, then at 10:00 am Children’s Church minister to the hearts of children so they might know the love of Jesus.  There are multiple opportunities to serve in these ministries.

CrossRoads has a number of different ministry opportunities in media/tech.  We have the web site, sound system, audio and video recording of the services.  We are always looking for those who are committed to excellence in ministry who want to share their gifts with the church.

Crossroads believes that advancing God’s Kingdom doesn’t come through new ways of doing church, but through the ancient way — faithful preaching and contextualizing the unchanging gospel within a changing culture. Crossroads teaches faith in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, as the only way to eternal life.

CrossRoads is committed to missions around the world through the Assemblies of God missionaries who regularly speak at the church and through the School of Christ, International.  Pastor Joel personally travels overseas in leadership training with the School of Christ.
Fire Institute is a discipleship training program for youth. We meet every Wednesday night at 6:30 pm.  We have worship and then explore what it means to follow Christ in today’s world.
CrossFire Jr High Ministries
Exciting Bible study and activities for middle school youth.  Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. Come and be a part of something great!
